Best Practices for Financial Security UX

What is good y'all John V Saunders here. You know, the vibes in today's video, we're talking best practices for financial security and user experience or UX. So let's dive into my computer. I'm jumping straight into this. I want to show you, I want to give you the facts and provide you actionable examples you can use to improve your financial website.

Let's dive in.

All right. Some great practices for a solid UX or user experience on a financial website. Here's another one of our clients. This is withhold wealth management. We designed and developed their entire website build out. This is built in Webflow, which is, has an integrated, really cool CMS that we built this out. And this was a custom built that we built, uh, maybe six months to a year ago, but ultimately a few things, five main things I think here. Uh, maybe, yeah, that's it. I say about five.

So one, you want to have trust signals on each page. What this includes is one SSL certificates at HTTPS, meaning it just shows a padlock when you're searching and browsing this website. You can see it on here because I'm a dark mode, but this site is protected by HTTPS. You also want to show or integrate any. Badges or, uh, credits, right? So you have disclosures, privacy policy. You want to make sure that those are disclosed easily with really simple and effective contact information right here, as well as transparent policy. So if you come to contact, you get the phone number, you get the email, you get the address, and then you also get locations and specific details regarding that.

Since they get a lot of, or they're inundated with a lot, they don't have a specific form. So you can either have, join our team with an application that goes directly to careers or you have media inquiries where they do a lot of collaborations, YouTube videos, podcast stuff. That's always great. You also want to have a safe and simple website browser. Right. So there's not a ton in this main menu here. We have work with us, a few options. We have a login and then we have how we invest, which is one of the most important pages, pages, almost like they're all service offer here, right. We kept it very simple and effective for the main user.

We also wanted to make sure that we had a security page, regular security updates and notifications, and then easy recovery for the website. If it ever goes down for any reason, which. It's very, very unlikely. We also have a talk to an advisor page here, which has an integrated form with their third party, like HubSpot and things like that, where we can integrate directly with their CRM. You have this custom for it built natively on the website, picks and collects all that data. And then a data is then leveraged to reach out to that potential customer.

So again, just wanted to show you how effective it can be to have a simple, clean website. Not all financial websites have to look super. I guess generic, right? We were able to use a lot of style and flair with this design, a little, a good use of contrast. And then we have amazing social proof here from some of their collaborators as well as, uh, testimonials also.
