Interactive Storytelling for Nonprofits
What is good y'all. John D Saunders here. You know the vibes. In today's video, I'm talking about storytelling for your nonprofit, how you can leverage storytelling to increase traffic, increase those donations on your website and get more people seeing your content. Let's dive in.

Alright y'all, so let's look at this client example. This is Embracing Equity. One of our clients, we did their design, development, the entire layout and structure of the website. So a few things on how to leverage storytelling. One is a very important and poignant; Copy, Embracing Equity, not Check Equity is a really great tagline that we've leveraged and used within the framework of this website. As you can see on this homepage, logo partners is a great use of social proof initially on this website, and then we talk about building and thriving community.
One great thing you can also incorporate is original photography. So this is photography from their events, illustrations that reflect their holistic approach. These are all trust indicators for the website design and layout that will help folks structure and layout the content accordingly. Video, social media engagement, and immersive content also help. And so if you go to the resource area here. They have all their recent webinars that are coming, and then you can look at their on demand webinars from the past.
So you can see tons and tons of important and relevant content that folks can then use. As an archive to go back and look at this content. So not only can you see upcoming webinars sign up for them, but you can look at past content as well. No-code platforms like Webflow and Canva are great for creating these dynamic images and content that we can use as well. They've also incorporated email storytelling and automation. So, you're added into a flow where they consistently send you updates and content.

And one of my favorite things here is the about and how it's broken up into different pages and sections that, again, add and improve interactive storytelling throughout the site. So they talk about why us, again, this is all original photography based on events and things that they've had. Our vision, our mission, the impact, right, and how their approach, the process. And then of course, any type of statistics are really helpful. Because it adds tangible numbers to what they're doing and their cause, as well as social proof throughout with testimonials, different testimonials from some of their customers on some of these differing pages.
We also have donor stories, call to action placement, and then, uh, if this also helps boost website conversion rates as well. So again, just incorporating a ton of content, like webinars, free tools is also really helpful. And then incorporating events as well for folks to be able to access and get to. Now on this tools page, you have a ton of content here, things you can download, access to stories. And community agreements, just anything you would need to make an informed decision on collaborating with this nonprofit. These are all different ways, so again, interactive storytelling isn't just a buzzword, it's a game changer for nonprofits.
